Print-ready artwork should be supplied to us in one of our templates. Below is an example of one of our templates.
When it comes to designing your custom button, we've got some guidelines to make sure everything turns out fabulous. So, here's the scoop:
First things first, fit all your amazing artwork and text within the innermost blue guideline on the button face. That's where the magic happens!
Now, pay attention to the area between the blue guideline and the green guideline. That's the rim area. If any art or words extend into this zone, they'll show up on the rim, not on the face. We don't want any surprises, right?
Here's an important tip: make sure your background color or graphic fills up the entire red circle. If it's not filled or removed, the red circle will end up printing. Also, the part of the red circle that goes beyond the green template guide is what we recommend as the bleed. It ensures a seamless finish. Oh, and that white area? Don't worry, it won't show up on the final product.
For the best print results, make sure the graphics you place in our template are 300 DPI and CMYK. Keep in mind that RGB files will be converted to CMYK, which might cause a slight color shift. We want your colors to shine!
When it comes to fonts, they need a little love too. Embed them, convert them to outlines, or supply them to ensure they play nicely in the design.
Now, let's talk about color. Here's the deal: screen types can be a bit finicky when it comes to displaying color and graphics. Your individual screen settings, like brightness and contrast, can also affect color accuracy. So, keep in mind that what you see on your screen might look a bit different in the final printed product.
Hey, we're on your team! While we can't control your screen calibration, we're here to help. If you have specific color concerns, reach out to us right away. Provide those snazzy uncoated Pantone Color numbers for matching or even a real-world example for us to reference. We've got your back!
Happy designing and button-making!
